A Message from Our Principal, Jan Goodloe

Mrs. Jan Goodloe, Principal

Clairemont is an exciting place to learn and to teach! There are many opportunities for children and adults to use their creativity and to grow personally, academically and socially.

Our school’s main objective is to provide the best educational program possible for every student. All of us (families, students, and staff) working together are the ones who make it possible for our students to succeed.

Clairemont is very lucky to have an auditorium where we can gather as a group daily. Please join us for our daily morning assembly, which is our time to gather together, share celebrations such as birthdays or acknowledgement about special accomplishments. We also say the date, the school motto, and the pledge to the flag in English and in Spanish. Announcements are made and we have a moment of quiet reflection daily. Fridays are a little more special because we sing together accompanied by our staff/parent band.

Family involvement with the school, whether it is helping complete a task at home or helping out in the school, is very important to us. There are many things you can do to support your child – some as simple as making sure they read or are read to every day. We encourage families to come to visit, volunteer, work with PTA or School Council, eat lunch with your child, greet visitors at the front door, tutor, shelve books in the media center, help with chess club or knitting club, and more.

So plan on some time to come to a morning assembly and to make yourself comfortable at Clairemont. We hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Jan Goodloe
Principal
